Dark_Aglow.jpg
Dark Aglow4 viewsTaken last year but worked up yesterday. Pushed the stone natural black and worked the image in CS4 and Alienskin Exposure2 and Snap Art. If you have not checked out Alienskins software you ought to think that over.
Evening_Light.jpg
Evening Light95 viewsTaken on Calf Creek that tumbles down from the Cascades to the Umpqua River. Processed in RAW and CS4 filters and curves.
Irrigation_Canal___Trees.jpg
8 viewsThis is not riparian in that it is an irrigation ditch. However, the reflection and clarity thereof with the pine and aspen in fall is worth the effort to get the shot. Taken along the road to Klamath Falls in south-central Oregon.
Landing_on_Molten_Mirror.jpg
Landing on a Mirror6 viewsI chose this Canadian out of a group and simply fell in rapture that I feel when I get a capture in excellent light.
Lustrous.jpg
Lustrous217 viewsA shot taken just minutes before the bluer one with similar characteristics in treatment. A great capture of the golden light in late evening.
Lustrous_2.jpg
Lustrous 2204 viewsLate, late evening and color bursting from depths. This was processed in Adobe Camera Raw to recover the light in the water that was largely a reflection property, the whites were there over the dark blues and touches of golden light.
I then processed it in CS4 with Noiseware Professional, and worked in CS4 filters: Vibrance & Saturation and Contrast & Brightness to the image you see.
N_Umpqua_Bend.jpg
North Umpqua Bend5 viewsA late evening shot with fog formation over the firs and the river. Near Umpqua, OR. Left this more blue and green and massaged in RAW and CS4 Curves.
Primal_2_1.jpg
6 viewsI hope you can take in the depth of the scene. It simply was mesmerizing as I discovered this small stream below Loon Lake, OR with the evening mist developing. Just felt like something wild would come lumbering out of the scenery. Low light work but the camera (Nikon D300) can work it pretty well.
Red_Rock_in_Fall.jpg
Red Rock in Fall8 viewsI think I could have named this "bearded stone in water." Just knocked me off my feet when I saw this.
Small_Stream.jpg
Small Stream2 viewsVery early fall with muted light. Softened up in Alienskin Exposure2 and Nik Color Efex Standard.
Torrent_Over_Red_Rock.jpg
Torrent Over Red Rock6 viewsA genuine gaze into the beauty of water and rock.
